Toenail Reconstruction in Las Vegas
Restore damaged or missing toenails at NAB Nail Bar — no surgery, no harsh chemicals.
Barefoot Toenail Reconstruction rebuilds a damaged, split or missing toenail using a flexible, gel-based system applied directly over the natural nail and nail bed. There is no surgery and no acrylic. The gel bonds to what is already there, then grows out with your own nail instead of sitting on top of it as a rigid shell.
The result is a toenail that looks like a toenail — matched to the shape of the others, and finished bare or with polish, whichever you prefer. Most reconstructions last up to six months before they need attention, so it is a genuinely low-maintenance option rather than something you top up every few weeks.
People come to us for this after a stubbed or dropped-object injury, after years of tight shoes or running, or simply because one nail has never grown back the way it should. Whatever the reason, the goal is the same: feet you do not think twice about in sandals.

Real Client Results

What Happens in Your Appointment
Reconstruction is more specialised than a standard gel pedicure, so it helps to know what the visit looks like.
- Assess. Your technician looks at how much natural nail remains, the shape of the nail bed, and whether the toe is ready to work on.
- Prep. Loose or overly thick material is reduced and the surface is cleaned so the gel can bond properly.
- Build. Gel is applied in thin layers and cured, with the shape built to match your other toes.
- Finish. The nail is filed, buffed and finished — usually nude, blush or a French tip — so it reads as a real toenail rather than a cap.
- Walk out. You can put your shoes on and leave the same day. Add a gel pedicure if you want the whole foot finished in one visit.
Book with a technician who does this service regularly — Nora lists barefoot toenail reconstruction among her specialties alongside hard gel and Gel X.
Aftercare: Protecting the Result
Treat a reconstruction like a quality gel pedicure with a much longer lifespan.
- Keep the area dry for the first day if your technician advises it.
- Do not pick at the free edge.
- Choose sandals that do not press hard on the big toe.
- Dry between your toes after pools and hot tubs.
- Book a refill when you can see a growth gap — usually in the four to six month window, from $25.
If the toe becomes red, hot or painful, stop and have it looked at by a doctor or podiatrist. This is a cosmetic service, not a medical one.
Toenail Reconstruction in Las Vegas – Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we are asked most often about Barefoot reconstruction.
Up to about six months. The gel grows out with your natural nail rather than sitting on top of it, so it does not need the every-two-or-three-week upkeep that acrylic does. Most clients come back for a Barefoot refill at the four to six month mark, which starts at $25.
No. Nothing is cut, drilled into the nail bed or removed surgically. Your technician cleans and lightly preps the area, then builds the new nail up in layers with gel. Most people find it no different from a normal pedicure appointment.
Come in and let us look first. Barefoot reconstruction is a cosmetic service — it rebuilds how the nail looks, it does not treat an underlying infection or medical condition. Your technician will tell you honestly whether reconstruction is appropriate, and if something needs a doctor or podiatrist first, we will say so rather than work over it.
Yes to both. A reconstructed nail takes regular or gel polish exactly like a natural one, and you can wear it bare if you prefer — it is shaped and finished to match your other toes. Once it has set you can shower, swim and wear closed shoes as normal.
At NAB Nail Bar it starts at $90 for a single toe, or $155 with a pedicure. Two toes start at $180, or $245 with a pedicure. Because each technician sets their own pricing, these are starting prices and your artist will confirm the exact cost before beginning.
