What a Lash Lift and Tint Does
A lash lift is a perm for your natural lashes. Your technician rests each lash on a silicone shield, applies a lifting solution that softens the bond in the hair, then sets the new curve with a neutralising solution. The lashes stay yours — they are just lifted from the root so they open the eye instead of pointing straight out or down.
The tint is a gentle dye applied over the lifted lashes. It darkens the fine, pale tips that mascara usually hides, so the lash line looks fuller without anything on it. Most people book the two together, because a lift on untinted lashes can look shorter than it is.
The whole appointment takes about 45 to 60 minutes. You lie back with your eyes closed the entire time, and there is no downtime afterwards.

Who a Lash Lift Suits
- You have decent natural lash length but they grow straight out or point down
- You want to stop wearing mascara every day
- You are travelling, getting married or heading to the pool and do not want to think about your eyes
- You have worn extensions and want a break while your natural lashes recover
- You want something low-maintenance — there are no fills and nothing to keep topped up
If your lashes are very short or sparse, a lift will not add length. Lash extensions are the better call there, and we can talk you through both when you arrive.
How Long It Lasts and How to Look After It
The lift holds for roughly six to eight weeks — until the lashes it was applied to shed naturally and new ones grow in. The tint fades a little sooner, usually four to six weeks. Because it grows out rather than falling off, there is no awkward halfway stage.
- Keep lashes dry for the first 24 hours — no shower steam, pool, sauna or crying at a wedding
- Skip mascara and oil-based cleansers for the first day
- After that, wash and sleep normally; a lash serum or a little castor oil keeps them conditioned
- Do not use a lash curler on a lifted set
- Rebook at around six to eight weeks rather than letting it grow fully out

Lash lift or lash extensions — which should I get?
Choose a lash lift if you have natural length and want a low-maintenance, no-fill option. Choose extensions if you want added length, volume or a dramatic look and are happy to come in for fills. We do both at Suite 101.
Can I wear makeup after a lash lift?
Yes, after the first 24 hours. Most people find they stop reaching for mascara, which is rather the point. Avoid oil-based removers around the lash line so the curl holds.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome and we are open Monday to Saturday until 11 PM, but lash work is best booked ahead so a lash technician is free when you arrive. Call ahead after 9 PM.
Can I get a lash lift and a brow tint in the same visit?
Yes, and most people do. Lash lift, lash tint, brow tint and brow wax can all be scheduled back to back — tell the front desk when you book and we will set aside the time.
