What to Know Before Your Wax
Hair length. Wax needs something to grip. Aim for about a quarter of an inch, which is roughly two to three weeks of growth. If it is shorter than that we may not be able to get a clean result.
Do not shave in between. Shaving resets the growth cycle and makes the next wax patchier. Let it grow through — it gets easier every time.
Exfoliate the day before, not the day of. A gentle scrub the day before lifts dead skin and helps prevent ingrown hairs. Same-day exfoliating leaves the skin too sensitive.
Tell your technician about your skincare. If you use strong actives such as retinol, or have had a recent facial or peel, say so when you book — we may adjust the service or suggest waiting.
Afterwards. Some redness is normal and usually settles within a few hours. Skip heat, heavy sweat and direct sun for the rest of the day.
